About the grounds

Hillstone is built around a homestead that has stood amongst these trees since the 1800s. Today, the property spans across established parklands and a picturesque golf course, with enough space that different parts of your day can feel genuinely distinct. Ceremony in the garden. Cocktail hour on the terrace. Reception in a room that is warm, considered, and quietly beautiful.

With two ceremony spaces and three reception areas, Hillstone suits a range of wedding styles and guest counts, from more intimate gatherings to celebrations of up to 300 guests. The spaces are flexible by design, and our team works with each couple to shape the day around what matters most to them.

Every Hillstone wedding includes a dedicated coordinator who works with you in the lead-up and runs the day from behind the scenes; managing the coordination, timeline and every detail in between on the day. Alongside them, your bridal attendant is with you from the moment you arrive until the very last song. They’re there to make sure you actually get to enjoy your day: keeping your glass full, managing your dress, and being that friendly, familiar face. With this structure, we make sure every couple can be fully present in the moments that matter most, while we quietly take care of everything else.

Good food doesn’t just feed people, it sets the tone for the whole evening. At Hillstone, everything is made on-site by our culinary team, led by Executive Chef Nacho Castells, and the menus reflect that. Inspired by Mediterranean flavours, the food here is designed to feel like a natural part of the celebration rather than an afterthought.

Wedding packages come with a range of add-ons that can be shaped around your day and your crowd. An interactive roaming cannoli station. Fresh oysters during cocktail hour. Late-night cheeseburgers when the dancefloor needs fuel. The kind of touches that guests talk about on the way home.

There were so many small touches throughout our experience with Hillstone, from the planning process to the wedding day itself that showed just how much care goes into what they do.

Where do we even begin with thanking Hillstone, our dream venue and the most beautiful setting for our wedding day. There are so many people who made our experience truly unforgettable. From the start, Donika made the venue tour such a relaxed and easy decision, we were instantly in love. Hannah was a huge help in the early planning stages, always quick to respond and so helpful with all the details as we locked everything in. As the day got closer, Jess stepped in and she was nothing short of amazing. Every email was answered so quickly, no question ever felt too small, and her level of organisation gave us so much peace of mind. On the day itself, Jess was such a calm and friendly presence, especially in those quiet moments right before walking down the aisle.

The thoughtful service from Hillstone was such a standout for us and made everything feel even more special.

To all the waitstaff and team members who looked after us and our guests, thank you so much. Drinks were topped up before we even realised we needed another, and everything from canapés to dinner was served with a warm smile and a wonderfully professional attitude. You created such a welcoming and effortless atmosphere for everyone. And the food, wow. Our guests are absolutely raving about it! Every dish was perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and packed with flavour. A special shoutout to the Bridal party attendees, you were phenomenal. So friendly, easy to get along with, and genuinely helpful throughout the whole day. 
 
The Fountain, Mango Tree Terrace and Grandview room are all absolutely stunning, Hillstone is picture-perfect in every way, but that’s just the icing on the cake. It was the people and the service that truly made this venue feel like the perfect place for us to say “I do.” We feel incredibly lucky to have found Hillstone through a recommendation, and we wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend it to anyone else. Thank you for everything!

The staff at Hillstone went above and beyond especially Jess, Bridget and Sophia. You were so easy to work with, incredibly coordinated, polite and had immaculate attention to detail. The food was amazing, venue fantastic and staff so accommodating. Again a big shout out to Jess – I was worried that the weather would result in the wedding being undercover which was not my ideal scenario. However, Jess came at it pragmatically and even suggested that if it did rain at the time of the ceremony that even delaying it by 10 mins would help achieve my desired outcomes. 

Not only is the venue naturally romantic and beautiful, but the Hillstone team was incredible.

One of the greatest decisions we made in planning our wedding was choosing Hillstone as our venue. From the first walk through we could see the vision of the day. Jess asked all the right questions in the planning stages and helped us make the day our own. Leading up to the day everything felt in control thanks to their support. On the actual day everything went so smoothly. If anything didn’t go according to plan, we had no idea because it was handled so professionally and elegantly by Jess and her team. The food and drink were equally as amazing. We still have guests tell us how delicious the food was. Glasses were consistently refilled as soon as they were empty. Our bridal attendant Vish was so caring and on the ball. Overall, we had a truly magical day and cannot thank Hillstone enough for their time and care. We are so happy to have picked such an excellent venue.
 

The space was absolutely stunning, and we felt so lucky to celebrate in such an elegant setting that hardly needed any extra styling.

Hillstone St Lucia is a Brisbane wedding venue that offers two unique outdoor wedding ceremony locations: the Fountain area, which suits guest numbers from 100 to 200, and the Courtyard Garden, which accommodates 20 to 100 people. We also have a number of stunning spaces available for your reception.

The Courtyard Garden offers a stunning location for a garden ceremony and reception. After the ceremony, this space can* transform into a reception venue that comfortably seats up to 32 people.

*Additional costs apply.

Rest assured Hillstone has a wet weather contingency plan in place for both event spaces in case it happens to rain. Your wedding coordinator will be in contact with the person you nominate to make the decision an hour prior to guests arriving at the venue.

Hillstone is a wedding location that caters for gatherings as small as 20 people up to a maximum of 500 people. Recently Hillstone has teamed up with Pash and Dash who offers couples premium elopement and intimate wedding packages. More information is available here.

Yes, Hillstone has over 200 complimentary car spaces onsite.

Hillstone wedding packages and menus are seasonal and updated regularly, and all dietaries can be catered for. We also offer cocktail menus and Indian buffet menus upon request. While our wedding menu’s are set, our chefs know how sentimental food can be, so if there’s something special you’d love to include, we’re always happy to chat about it.
