Hillstone is a popular venue for engagement parties and also for proposals. With so many stunning backdrops and private, intimate spaces, there are so many ways you can make Hillstone your very own setting for the most special moments of your life.

Both Hillstone and hundred acre bar have a variety of space options to cater for all numbers of crowds. Each venue has been designed and styled by a duo team of decorators with Australian and Italian heritage. With their combined 30 years of experience, they work onsite to maintain the highest standard of décor.

Casual canapés, speeches, preferred playlists or the more casual BBQ are all easily catered for across our restaurant and private events spaces. There are 10 different spaces available to choose from, with the most popular engagement party venues being The Living Room and The Library Bar.

 

   

GRAND & CHARMING

The Grand View Room.

The Grand View Room is the largest space at Hillstone St Lucia (and one of only a handful of its size in Brisbane). Its size is accentuated by its open and inviting design. There are very high ceilings and no columns, making it an easy-to-access venue that won’t separate your guests.

It has an old-fashioned homestead charm that warms the whole area. Along with its golf course neighbour, it’s a truly stunning space, perfect for different sized engagement parties.

Equipped with a removable stage and dance floor, the room caters for formal engagement parties (with speeches and a slide show) and more relaxed parties. It’s this flexibility from its potential capacity that makes The Grand View Room the ultimate space.

The Mango Tree Terrace accompanies The Grandview Room and is decorated with festoon lights and silver dome lanterns. Another addition is The Victorian Long Bar that allows guests to enjoy indoor and outdoor facilities.

Capacities

For a seated engagement party with a dance floor and bridal table, 100-350 guests will sit comfortably. If you’d like a larger, cocktail-style function, this room can hold between 150-800 guests.

The Mango Tree Terrace.

This terrace is a gateway to a magical engagement party. This iconic, heritage-listed area is packaged with The Grand View Room. With its open-floor plan, panoramic views of the golf course and a beautiful breeze throughout the day, guests love celebrating here.

For a truly special celebration, the engaged couple can arrive at the clock tower and make a red carpet entrance to The Mango Tree Terrace. This is a beautiful moment, especially when surrounded by the festoon lights and silver dome lanterns that light the area every night.

The Rosewood Room.

It’s impossible to take a bad photo in The Rosewood room, with its complementing natural light and open space. Your photos will also have a beautiful backdrop of the golf course – not many engagement party venues can offer that in Brisbane.

The Rosewood Room’s polished rosewood floors, lovely finishes and ornate fixtures bring the Scandinavian-designed room to life. In here, your guests can enjoy a sit down or cocktail engagement party, with access to a private veranda.

Capacities

For a seated engagement party with a dance floor (located in The Library Bar), The Rosewood Room can fit 50-110 guests. A cocktail-style event with a dance floor could accompany 50-140 guests.

The Library Bar.

The Library Bar takes on the style of original homesteads, which featured a dining room, library and reading room. This gives the whole area an old charm that suits the elegance of the private bar and intimate floor plan it offers.

The Library Bar has an element of warmth and cosiness to it. Flowing onto the outdoor terrace and encased in stunning surroundings, every engagement couple loves the atmosphere, added touches and simplicity of this space.

Capacities

For an intimate, seated party with dance floor, it can host 20-40 guests. Larger cocktail-style events can hold 50-120 guests.

Engagement parties, either onsite, in the comfort of your own home or at any other off-site location you prefer, can be exceptionally catered for with Hillstone catering. We customise menus based on cultural needs, dietary requirements, or purely on your preferences.

Anywhere that is willing to have us, we’ll have your favourite flavours and food complementing your memorable engagement. The price per person varies, giving you options for your budget, and our caterers can serve between 10-1,000 guests.
